1. How soon after breast augmentation surgery can I raise my arms up over my head?
You can raise your arms immediately afterwards. You just cannot do anything strenuous.
2. Does having implants mean limits to any activities?
No. Once you are healed in a matter of 4 to 6 weeks you can do activities as you tolerate.
3. Is there really such a thing as the "postoperative Blues"?
Some people feel that on occasions you may feel "down", at a time that occurs soon after your surgery. This is not universal and it is not known why some feel this way. The important thing is that it passes and it is nothing to worry about.
4. After augmentation, will my own breast tissue change size?
You tissue does not change in size but your skin may stretch to accommodate the new implant.
5. After augmentation with Silicone gel implants, how often does the FDA advise an M.R.I. to check for failure?
They recommend you get an MRI 3 years after your surgery and then every 2 years thereafter. Most Plastic Surgeons are not in agreement with these recommendations and feel mammograms which are routinely recommended starting at age 40 should suffice.
6. Is it true that re-operation can be done through the navel?
