What is breast augmentation?

Breast Augmentation is cosmetic plastic surgery designed to safely and predictably increase your breasts cup size. Breast augmentation will enhance your natural shape. While the procedure can be performed under local with sedation, general anesthesia is the most reliable, and the most common, way the procedure is performed.

Breast augmentation is performed after a careful consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. This initial step helps you evaluate and express the goals of your breast augmentation, with your plastic surgeon. Since there is no "correct " size, your plastic surgeon will need your input to determine what is best for your body. Do not be shy in expressing your goals, and it helps to come prepared.

Breast augmentation can fill an empty breast and restore support; however, a breast implant does not lift the breast. If a significant amount of sagging exists, breast augmentation may be combined with a breast lift (mastopexy) to complement your overall breast enhancement.
